Cambridgeshire County Council Members and Officers will host a workshop to explore and develop income generation ideas for libraries on Saturday 7 November, 11am "“ 1pm, in the conference room on the third floor at Central Library.
Cambridgeshire County Councillors agreed in June to identify options for increasing income at Central Library, Cambridge and the library service as a whole. An elected Members Review Group has been working alongside County Council Officers, library staff and library campaigners to consider ideas. The Group is tasked with making recommendations to the Highways and Community Infrastructure Committee on commercial aspects of the service.
Councillor Barbara Ashwood, Member for Trumpington and Chair of the Members Review Group said: "This is a great opportunity for local residents to share income generation ideas, and the workshop will give people the chance to review options already being considered by the County Council."
