A new ‘honours board’ documenting Cambridgeshire County Council chairs, aldermen and women and Chief Executives from 1973 to the present day, was unveiled at New Shire Hall today (December 13), by its current chair Cllr Stephen Ferguson and family members of Cllr Derek Giles, the immediate past chair who sadly died last month.
Cllr Giles’ wife Sandie, and daughter Anne-Marie joined four other past chairs, together with four aldermen and women, and the Council’s current Chief Executive Stephen Moir, who are named on the board, which takes pride of place at the entrance to the Full Council meeting room at its Alconbury headquarters.
