We have launched a new-look website to support schools throughout the county to recruit and develop high-quality teachers and leaders.
The Teach in Cambs website encourages new teaching talent at all levels to join the growing education sector in Cambridgeshire.
The website brings together everything that is on offer throughout the county to anybody who is looking to take the next step in their teaching career. It not only includes a comprehensive list of current teaching vacancies, but also promotes the teacher training opportunities available to those interested in a teaching career.
The new website also allows schools to promote opportunities to become a school governor.
Jonathan Lewis, Service Director for Education at Cambridgeshire County Council said: “Cambridgeshire is a fantastic place for a teacher to start or develop their teaching career. There are a huge number of opportunities in the area, both for new teachers and those looking for career advancement.
“The website is a collaborative approach to recruitment that is free for schools and therefore significantly cheaper than traditional advertising methods. This has become increasingly important as budgets get squeezed due to national funding pressures.
“Whether you are a newly qualified teacher, a teacher looking to further your career or a school looking to fill some available vacancies, the Teach in Cambs website will have all the information you need.”
The next phase for the Teach in Cambs website will include a career development section, due to be launched later this year. This will allow schools and teachers to search and book on to training courses and events available to them.
