Night works are about to start as part of a scheme in Wisbech to repair and improve the road surface and foundations along Nene Quay and South Brink in Wisbech.
To reduce disruption in this busy part of Wisbech the vital works will be carried out between 7pm and 2am from Monday, October 6 on the B198 where it meets Hill Street and Coalwharf Road.
Works should take around one week to complete, weather depending, and involve essential highway maintenance as well as localised foundation repairs.
To make sure the work is carried out as quickly and safely as possible it will be necessary to close part of the B198.
The works are part of Cambridgeshire County Council's investment in maintaining roads and improving transport.
A diversion will be in place and access to properties within the work area will be maintained. Residents who park their vehicles on the road are asked to avoid doing so while the works are being carried out.
