Residents in Cambridgeshire are being reminded that the council will operate on special opening hours over the Christmas and New Year period.
Residents can contact the council’s customer call centre for general enquiries, but the centre will only be open on certain dates / times. The Call Centre team will be working until 5pm on 23 December and then from 9am to 5pm from December 28 - 30, re-opening as normal on Tuesday 3 January.

Please also bear in mind that the call centre traditionally receives a high volume of calls in the run up to Christmas, so calls may take longer than normal to be answered.
The following key council services will continue to operate on certain dates / times:
Household Recycling Centre
Opening times for the sites vary and can be found on the website here.
All Household Recycling Centres will be closed from 1pm on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Libraries
All Cambridgeshire Libraries will close at 1pm on Saturday 24 December, except Clay Farm which will be closed from Friday 23 December.
All libraries except Cambridge Central, St Ives, Histon and Clay Farm will remain closed from 24 December until Tuesday 3 January, when usual opening hours resume.

Cambridgeshire’s registration offices are closed on Bank Holidays only during the festive period. All other days are normal opening hours.
