Vital pathway repairs in Doddington are being carried out early to fit in with half term school holidays.

The £20,000 repair scheme along the High Street in Doddington was due to take place in the school Summer Holidays.

But due to the flexible nature of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Highway Contract the work has been brought forward and will be carried out from May 27 – to coincide with the half term holidays.

The paths on either side of the High Street, from the Lionel Walden School to the Clock Tower, are heavily used by pupils and parents during school term. Work has been scheduled to avoid this.

Work should take a week and priority will be given to completing the area around the school before pupils return. Work may be extended if budget allows to repair other areas along the High Street.

The Council will do its best to keep disruption to a minimum and access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.
