Local business and community leaders are reminding people in Ely to attend a free event that could enhance their careers.
The Skills Springboard is taking place at The Maltings in Ely on Tuesday 23rd June between 9.45 am and 2.30 pm.
There will be a range of workshops that people can attend, including, writing online applications, advice on business start-ups and CV writing. There will also be an opportunity to network at a lunch with local businesses and organisations too. Businesses includes Neaves and Neat, Labour Tech, Emerald Frog, Millrose Telecoms, Waitrose and Cambridge Business Lounge.
The event has been put together by the Enterprising Communities Partnership, which includes Cambridgeshire County Council, CHS Group and the Cambridgeshire Timebanking partnership, and local businesses. This is the third Skills Springboard event, other successful events have taken place in St. Ives and Wisbech. This is the first time the event has been held in Ely.
Councillor Elizabeth Every, Mayor of Ely, said: "I am delighted to personally support this event that we are holding it at the Maltings. It will be a fantastic opportunity for people to meet with businesses and agencies on a one to one basis to support the skills of securing a job and pursue advancement opportunities. We know that networking of this kind can be very successful."
