It's been recognised as a top performing attraction based on ratings from guests on the travel site.

Now in its fifth year, the award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great reviews on TripAdvisor. Certificate of Excellence winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.

Cambridgeshire County Council's Head of Community and Cultural Services, Christine May said "We're very proud to see the museum recognised by our visitors as one of the very best in the business and we'd like to thank all of our past visitors who have taken the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor. For anyone who hasn't yet visited us "“ we hope this encourages them to come along for themselves. With the school holidays fast approaching why not bring the kids along to this town centre attraction, there's lots to see and do. They can also follow "˜Ollie' round the museum and see what he got up to in his school days."

In April 2016 the running of the Cromwell Museum will be taken over by an independent  charitable trust. The creation of this body provides an opportunity to reinvigorate the museum and to ensure that it remains a place of vibrant audience engagement.
