A group of keen learners is celebrating the launch of a new computer club where those taking part can enjoy a "˜byte' sized approach to their learning.
The club is part of the University of the Third Age and is supported by Cambridgeshire County Council's Adult Learning and skills team.
Those taking part meet at the Community Room in Tesco on Monday's between 11am and 12.30. On offer is a range of courses, including Learn My Way, which teaches people the basic about using a computer or tablet , including how to keep safe whilst using the Internet and email, but also more advanced subjects such as shopping online and photography.
The initiative started is funded by the EU SeNS Project ( Seniors Engaged in Network Services).
Nyree Scott, Project Manager for Cambridgeshire County Council, said: "The group are very excited to have organised this and it was good to see a good turn-out for the launch. This is about people supporting each other, but we also have some free courses on offer that really help people bag the basics."
