We recently hit key milestones on the Ely Bypass project, joining up the bypass from end to end with the completion of the structural steelwork on the viaduct and the rail bridge.
VolkerFitzaptrick have released Timelapse footage which captured the team installing the rail bridge. This was completed in three separate lifts taking place overnight while the railway was closed.
The 1.7km bypass consists of two main structures, a 300m viaduct over the River Great Ouse and its floodplain, and a 100m rail bridge over two railway lines.
