Changes to your health and wellbeing

NHS live well hub has over 100 topics on healthy living.

You may want to plan ahead for changes to your health and wellbeing. This could include making adaptations to your home or using equipment, technology and devices to assist you around the house.

If you have a long-term condition, NHS Choices has information about self care.

Your GP can tell you about physiotherapy, which can help you to regain movement and function if you are affected by injury, illness or disability.

Sometimes after a stay in hospital or an illness, you may need extra support to help you manage everyday tasks. Reablement may be offered to help you learn or re-learn the skills you need for daily living.

    Think about your feet

Looking after your feet is important to help you stay mobile and active. Foot problems can quickly lead to discomfort and affect the way you walk. This can in turn cause knee, hip and back pain.

The NHS's foot health information gives you some tips on looking after your feet and what to do when you start to develop problems.

Older people are particularly prone to foot problems such as corns, blisters and foot infections. Find out more about the NHS's services for foot problems or search for a podiatrist or chiropodist.
