The European passport return service is available for EEA and Swiss nationals applying online for a registration certificate to confirm their right to live in the UK as a 'qualified person' (worker, self-employed, self-sufficient or jobseeker).
The Registration Service can photocopy your EEA or Swiss passport and forward a copy along with your checklist on your behalf. Your passport will then be available to use while your application is being processed.
The service operates between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Thursday and costs £15 (including VAT) per named applicant. Additionally, a postage charge will be made at the time of your appointment based on the weight of your application -
- Applications under or equal to 0.5kg - £6 postage charge.
- Applications over 0.5kg - £12 postage charge.
To book your appointment at Cambridge Registration Office, please ring 0345 045 5155.
Your appointment with us must be no more than 10 working days after the date you made your online application.
If your appointment is more than 10 working days after you made your online application, your application may be rejected by the Home Office and the fee you paid to them lost, so please contact us to make an appointment before you submit your application.
- the Home Office may contact you for further information after your application has been submitted.
- using the European passport return service does not guarantee the success of the application and the local authority cannot provide any advice. This service will not ensure that your form has been correctly completed and correct supporting documents submitted.
