The European passport return service is available for EEA and Swiss nationals applying online for a registration certificate to confirm their right to live in the UK as a 'qualified person' (worker, self-employed, self-sufficient or jobseeker).
The Registration Service can photocopy your EEA or Swiss passport and forward a copy along with your checklist on your behalf. Your passport will then be available to use while your application is being processed.
The service operates between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday and costs £15 (including VAT) per named applicant. Additionally, a postage charge will be made at the time of your appointment based on the weight of your application -
- Applications under or equal to 0.5kg - £6 postage charge.
- Applications over 0.5kg - £12 postage charge.
To book your appointment at Cambridge Registration Office, please ring 0345 045 5155.
There is currently at least a 4 week appointment waiting list, so please contact us for an appointment before you submit your online application to ensure you meet the 10 day deadline for applications.
- the Home Office may contact you for further information after your application has been submitted.
- using the European passport return service does not guarantee the success of the application and the local authority cannot provide any advice. This service will not ensure that your form has been correctly completed and correct supporting documents submitted.
