Our website has a specific section for families with a child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities. This is known as the local offer. The information is organised by subject and age; in each of the age sections you’ll find details of services, support, help and advice. You can also find information by subject for example health, disability services, leisure. 

The Children and Families pages  contain information on childcare, transport, school admissions, family support and much more.

Our directory includes details of local authority and health services, childcare providers, school, colleges and local and national voluntary organisations. You can search by keyword, town or postcode. Each entry includes information on eligibility, referral and contact details for the service or team.

You can get information on clubs, groups and events and activities for disabled children from our Special Needs Community Information Point (SCIP).
