The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is impacting everyone’s lives and Cambridgeshire County Council is working with partner district and city councils and other partner organisations to ensure that the most vulnerable in our region are well cared for.
We are deploying council staff and volunteers who can help others. We are receiving a very high volume of requests and we are working on these as fast as we can.

I want to help (COVID-19)
Over 2,500 volunteers have signed up to the Covid-19 Coordination Hub to help vulnerable residents. Never before have we seen so much support for our community and we are truly overwhelmed with the number of volunteers who have come forward.
There are a number of volunteers who are working within the hub as well as some that have not yet currently been required. We want to thank those volunteers as without them there will be vulnerable residents without access to food, medicine and other important supplies.
As we've had such amazing support we no longer require any more volunteers in the hub at this time and are closing the registration.
For more information about volunteering in general and to find local opportunities you can visit or contact your local volunteer centre, or search the Do-it.org website. Alternatively, you can visit the National Council for Voluntary Organisations website for everything you need to know to get started or you can also search for volunteering opportunities in your local area on the Volunteering Matters webpages.
Please have look at these videos and resources produced by Support Cambridgeshire which will help get you ready and confident to volunteer.

My organisation or business wants to help (COVID-19)
So many kind organisations and businesses have been coming forwards with offers of help in Cambridgeshire. It’s been staggering and we are so very grateful.
When people are coming to us for help, we are pointing them to the Cambridgeshire directory in the first instance, so if you are an organisation or charity who is operating in Cambridgeshire and is able to help others, the best thing to do would be to register on our Cambridgeshire Directory so that people looking for help will be able to find you.
To sign up, please follow the link and make sure that you add the tag ‘Covid-19’ to your entry.
