Cambridgeshire Archives Service holds a wealth of unique historic records and other resources relating to Cambridgeshire, the former counties of Huntingdonshire and the Isle of Ely and their communities.
Cambridgeshire Archives is currently closed to the public but will reopen in its new premises in Ely in the autumn of 2019.
You are welcome to follow the progress of construction of the new Ely archives centre on our Facebook page and on Instagram
Huntingdonshire Archives is now fully open to the public again following its six month closure.
Starting your research
Please see our popular research topics webpage for an A-Z guide to the records we hold and advice on tracing family history, house history and other frequently requested subjects.
Unfortunately, this guide is currently unavailable but we are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Other services we offer
Due to the large amount of work necessary to prepare our archives for the move to Ely, Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Archives are not accepting most deposits of records.
Cambridgeshire Archives is not delivering outreach events or providing any research or reprographic services but Huntingdonshire Archives will continue to provide these services as far as resources allow possible. To find out more, click on the images below.
