Accessibility Options

Early years funding supports the national scheme administered by local authorities to offer free early learning and childcare places to all children aged 3 and 4 and some 2 year olds meeting certain criteria. This includes the extended entitlement for working parents (processed by HMRC) and foster carers (processed by the Local Authority).

To find out more about the legal framework and principles go to the Early Years Funding Code of Practice for Local Authorities.

New childcare providers

If you are a new or existing childcare provider and wish to start drawing down early years funding for 2,3 and 4 year olds you will need to  be Ofsted registered and have agreed to the conditions within the Cambridgeshire Local Agreement. If you are interested in setting up a new provision or are in the process of doing so please contact [email protected]
