The Council wants to enable all its citizens to have a real voice in the care and support services which they use. We know that working together with the people who use our services is the best way to ensure that local people’s needs are met and that the best use is made of the resources available.

The Council has set up a range of groups that enable people’s voices to be heard. Members of these groups include people who access our services, carers, and representatives from voluntary organisations and statutory services such as health, the police and local councils.

We work with local organisations who support people to become involved in participation activities and have their say, such as:
