Bar Hill Community Support - Covid-19
Covid Support Scheme (Bar Hill)
This project is to provide support to the entire community with the 5 following services:
- Emergency food provision; for those on low incomes/benefits triggered by the Covid-19 crisis and desperate for food help whilst waiting for the 2 government schemes to filter in the provision of additional monies.
- Advice: (work, benefits, debt & money, immigration, consumer, housing, family etc). -
- Mental health support during the crisis.
- Shopping for the vulnerable, in-firmed and isolated.
- Prescription collection and delivery for the vulnerable, in-firmed and isiolated.
Our goals include ensuring that no person within our village community is left in isolation, that they are connected and help to safely navigate this global catastrophe. The project has a significant group of volunteers from within our community who are helping to deliver across our 5 services.
Our volunteers, under strict distancing and hygiene rules collect the parcels and deliver them to the door steps of the successful applicant.
