Cambridgeshire’s GCSE students receive praise for resilience and dedication

21 August 2025

Young people across Cambridgeshire receiving GCSE results today (Thursday 21 August), have been praised for their focus and determination.

Cllr Edna Murphy, Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Children and Young People Committee said:

“Well done to all the children in Cambridgeshire who sat their GCSEs this year and are receiving their results today. GCSEs can be an extremely challenging time, and I’m extremely proud of our young people - these results are a reflection of the resilience, hard work and determination they’ve shown over the last few years.

“I’d also like to mention the teachers and families that have provided tireless support and guidance along the way – this of course has been a huge part of the success story, and the children could not have done it without you.

I’d like to wish Cambridgeshire’s young people good luck and all the very best for the future.”
