Country’s first King Charles III postbox unveiled in Cambourne

Children from The Vine Inter Church Primary School in Cambourne helped unveil the country’s first King Charles III postbox today.

The postbox – in Cambourne High Street – is the first to feature the King Charles III cypher.

It was unveiled by Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Julie Spence OBE QPM and children from the primary school.

The pupils then posted a letter to King Charles – the first to be put in the new postbox – explaining their Forest School activities and their commitment to the environment.

The event was also attended by Cambridgeshire County Council Chair Cllr Sebastian Kindersley and representatives from South Cambridgeshire District Council and the Royal Mail, together with Ian Sollom in his first official engagement as the newly-elected MP for St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire.
