Residents, businesses and community organisations across Cambridgeshire have just a few days left to take part in a Government consultation that will help shape how local services are delivered in the future.
The consultation, which closes on 26 March 2026, invites people to share their views on a series of options submitted by councils across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for Local Government Reorganisation.
The options would see the existing county, district and city councils replaced with new unitary councils. This would mean residents dealing with a single council responsible for all local services, rather than services being split across multiple councils.
Residents are encouraged to take part and ensure their voices are heard.
Support is available to help residents respond to the consultation:
- Free access to computers, Wi-Fi and the internet is available at all Cambridgeshire libraries to allow people to complete the consultation online.
- Printed copies of the consultation are also available at libraries for those who prefer to respond on paper.
