Young people across Cambridgeshire receiving GCSE results today (22 August) have been praised for their focus and determination.
Cllr Bryony Goodliffe, Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Children and Young People Committee said: “GCSEs can be a challenging time for young people as they juggle the competing priorities in their lives. I have been hugely impressed with how the young people of Cambridgeshire have risen to this challenge – they have shown focus, determination and a will to succeed.
None of this would have been possible though without the tireless support of their teachers and families, all of whom have played a crucial role in guiding them through this challenging period.
I am extremely grateful and wish all Cambridgeshire’s young people the very best for the future.”
