We want your views on what we should prioritise as we consider our plans for the coming years

04 November 2024

Cambridgeshire County Council has launched a four-week engagement survey with residents to get their views on how the council should prioritise as it plans for the future.

The survey is the first of two surveys which will take place between November 2024 and January 2025 so the views of Cambridgeshire residents can help inform decision-making about the council’s next Business Plan, which sets out its priorities and budget decisions for the next five financial years.

The 2024 Quality of Life Survey, which engaged over 5,500 residents from across the county, has given the council a strong evidence base to understand what residents’ feel about living in Cambridgeshire. As we develop our plans we want to hear from you now about what the council should prioritise in its planning for the future.

Councillor Elisa Meschini, Deputy Leader of the County Council, said: “We are making significant progress against our vision to deliver a greener, fairer and more caring Cambridgeshire. We know we have choices about what we prioritise, and we have to set a balanced budget, which is increasingly challenging.

We will come back in December with specific proposals from our draft Business Plan and Budget, with a focus on delivering ever greater value for money, whilst continuing to prioritise spending to deliver a greener, fairer and more caring Cambridgeshire.”
