The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme summer directory lists all holiday schemes available by district. Each eligible child can book a maximum of 64 hours across all holiday schemes (subject to availability). A range of fun experiences, a healthy lunch and snacks are provided. The Department for Education funds the HAF Programme.

How to book HAF places:

  1. Children receiving benefits-related free school meals: A HAF eligibility voucher (including booking code) was emailed/texted to parents and carers on 9 June 2025. How to claim your HAF voucher – Holiday Activities
  2. Each eligible child can book 64 hours this summer (multiple venues can be booked). Please only book up to 64 hours as this is the maximum that is funded per eligible child for the summer HAF programme.
  3. Parents/carers should select a holiday scheme (from the lists below) and contact the provider directly to book a place. This is subject to availability. Some schemes will book up quickly.
  4. Parents/carers should inform the scheme of any additional support needs their child may have so they can plan fully to welcome children safely. 6-8 weeks’ notice is usually required where 1:1 support is needed.
  5. Once a place is offered, please give your 16-digit booking code to the scheme (found on your eligibility voucher or emailed from the HAF Team if they issued an eligibility code - see additional eligibility criteria.).
  6. If you are unable to travel to the holiday scheme by any means (car, public transport, bike, walking), please speak with the holiday scheme. It is possible that transport can be arranged if a request is submitted by our deadlines (providers will be made aware of these).
  7. Cancellations: Please ensure you inform the scheme with ample notice if you need to cancel your child’s place so it can be offered to another family.

Please contact holiday schemes directly or the Cambridgeshire HAF Team with any questions you may have: HAF@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
