NHS Quality Accounts

The Health Act 2009 and Health and Social Care Act 2012 places a requirement on large NHS healthcare providers to produce an annual Quality Account.

Quality Accounts are an important way for NHS providers to report on the quality of their services. This includes any improvements made or areas of challenge identified during the reporting period. The quality of services is measured by looking at patient safety, the effectiveness of treatments that patients receive and patient feedback about the care provided.
