Giving every child the Best Start in Life is a key priority for this council and an important part of delivering our ambition to ensure fairness and opportunity, wherever we can.
Best Start in Life is also a new Government policy that brings together family services, providing high-quality support to parents, babies and children from pregnancy to age five.
Services, support and information
We are working with partners to provide a safe and healthy environment for children and young people to live, learn and develop strong mental health from their earliest moments through their school years.
This includes bringing together support for parents in one place through our Best Start Family Hubs, making it easier and more affordable for children to access early education and care and ensuring the education that children receive in early years settings and reception classes is of the highest quality.
Our vision for Cambridgeshire is to create a healthy, fair and sustainable place to live.
