The Flood Risk Regulations (2009) require the County Council to produce a 'Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment' that shows areas of significant risk of flooding using the government's threshold. This assessment has been approved by the Environment Agency and has been ranked as 'comprehensive and substantially above compliance'.

These regulations are no longer in force with the planning for flood risk now managed through the National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy, Regional Flood Risk Management Plans and our local Cambridgeshire Flood Risk Management Strategy.
