Cambridgeshire County Council is offering grants through the UK Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund to support district-based Community Outreach across Cambridgeshire.
Who can apply?
We are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from organisations interested in delivering district-based Community Outreach as part of a consortium.
Organisations can express an interest as either:
- Lead organisation - Lead organisations will coordinate a district-based consortium, manage funding arrangements, oversee performance and reporting. They will work with partners to develop and deliver a local service offer. Complete the Lead Organisation EOI form below.
- Consortium member – Consortium members will contribute specialist expertise, local knowledge, established community relationships or targeted support for particular groups of residents. Complete the Consortium Member organisation EOI form below.

Timeline
- Expressions of Interest – between 14 September and 5 October 2026.
- Successful applicants will be invited to participate in Stage 2 of the process by 12 October 2026.
- Delivery expected to commence at the beginning of December 2026.
- The anticipated delivery period is until April 2029, reviewed annually.
Key information
The purpose of this Community Outreach is to help residents improve their financial resilience and maximise household income. It also aims to prevent financial difficulties from escalating into crisis. The programme is particularly focused on reaching underserved communities. It will support residents who may face barriers accessing traditional advice and support.
The intention is to provide face-to-face advice and support within local communities. This is particularly aimed at residents who are less likely to access support through traditional telephone, online or office-based provision.
Expressions of Interest are welcome from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, charities, local authorities and not-for-profit organisations. We are particularly keen to hear from organisations with strong, trusted local connections.
The Council is looking to fund provision that:
- Improves financial resilience
- Maximises household income
- Prevents financial crisis
- Improves access to advice provision
- Strengthens local support networks and referral pathways
- Reaches residents experiencing poverty, disadvantage or exclusion from provision
Applications are invited for the following districts:
- Cambridge City
- East Cambridgeshire
- Fenland
- Huntingdonshire
- South Cambridgeshire
Please note: Organisations may apply to deliver activities in more than one district. Only one Expression of Interest form is required. Please indicate all districts in which you could operate on the form.
