The Children, Education and Families Directorate exists to ensure that children and young people across Cambridgeshire are given the best possible start in life, are safe, well and supported through early years, education and later in life.
The Directorate works closely in partnership with the NHS, Schools, Cambridgeshire Police and other agencies to deliver their statutory responsibilities.
In addition to providing professional social work and education services, the Directorate also leads on work to support children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities.
Finally, the Directorate leads upon fostering and adoption services for the county.
