Notice of election for Roman Bank and Peckover Division

A by-election will be held on Thursday 25 June 2026 for one seat on Cambridgeshire County Council in the Division of Roman Bank and Peckover.

If you wish to stand as a candidate in this election, nomination papers are to be collected from and returned to the Deputy Returning Officer at Fenland District Council, Fenland Hall, County Road, March, Cambridgeshire, PE15 8NQ.

The final date to submit nomination papers is 4pm, Friday 29 May 2026.

What is a by-election?

Cambridgeshire County Council holds elections every four years when residents vote for the 61 councillors who will represent them in our 59 divisions.

You elect a councillor using the 'First Past the Post' system. You vote for one candidate in your local area and the candidate with the most votes wins.

If a councillor has to leave their seat during the four year term, we hold a by-election in the constituency for residents to elect a replacement.
