Care Certificate Programme at Cambridgeshire County Council
Cambridgeshire County Council have partnered with the Care Professional Academy to bring the benefits and advantages that the Academy offers, free of charge, to all care staff and providers across the county under the banner of Cambridgeshire Academy for Reaching Excellence (CARE).
What is a Care Certificate?
The Care Certificate helps new members of your workforce to develop and demonstrate key skills, knowledge, values and behaviours. This enables them to provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care. A good, thorough and appropriate induction should form the foundation for ongoing learning and development to support a person’s growth and career.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) continues to expect providers to induct, support and train their staff appropriately. Those who employ health care support workers and adult social care workers should be able to demonstrate that staff have, or are working towards, the skills set out in the Care Certificate. This is the benchmark for staff induction - you can read the CQC position on the Certificate on the CQC website.

Our offer includes flexible delivery options, with the choice of virtual (using Microsoft Teams) or face-to-face sessions. We are also able to offer closed courses to your organisation only which can be tailored to your requirements. This includes essential topics such as safeguarding to specialised areas like medication administration, our diverse range of training ensures that your needs will be met.
