Ferrule replacement service
Do you use, or know someone who uses a walking stick, crutch or walking frame? Make sure that your walking aids are in good condition to prevent slips and falls.
Staff at Cambridgeshire Libraries can help check the rubber stoppers (or ferrules) of your walking aids for wear and tear, and replace them if necessary.
Our libraries have ferrules in 3 sizes:
- 19mm diameter
- 22mm diameter
- 25mm diameter.
This service is available at the 33 Cambridgeshire County Council run libraries and 3 mobile libraries. Please ask library staff for more information. Visit Cambridgeshire Libraries webpages for library locations and the map of mobile library stops.
