Cambridgeshire County Council is offering grants through the UK Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund to support community-led projects across Cambridgeshire.
Applications are now open for grants of up to £4,750. The funding is for projects that help people avoid financial crisis, build financial resilience and prevent future hardship.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until available funding has been allocated.
Before you apply
We encourage you to speak to your local Place-Based Communities Coordinator/Connector before applying, but this is not compulsory. Key information at a glance

What is this funding for?
We are looking for projects that:
- help prevent people reaching financial crisis
- build stronger, more financially resilient communities
- address local needs in Cambridgeshire
- reduce poverty and hardship
- strengthen people’s skills, confidence and wellbeing
Projects could help people:
- access support and advice
- improve money management skills
- increase income
- reduce debt
- build community connections that make people more resilient to future challenges
Funding cannot be used for:
- activities that have already taken place
- political or religious activities
- commercial or profit-making activities
- projects already funded from another source for the same activity
- supporting a specific resident – individuals in financial crisis can find out about what support is available at Crisis and Resilience Fund
Who can apply?
You can apply if you are a:
- community group
- charity
- not-for-profit organisation
- community Interest Company (CIC) or similar organisation
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must provide:
- safeguarding policy
- equality and diversity or equal opportunities policy
- public liability insurance
- constitution or governing document
- bank account with at least two unrelated signatories who do not belong to the same household

- create long-term benefits for the community
How applications will be assessed
Applications will be assessed on:
- evidence of local need for the project
- fit with the aims of the fund
- impact on financial resilience and poverty reduction
- deliverability and value for money
- benefits for local communities
Timescale
We aim to respond to applications within 10 to 15 working days of receiving a completed application.
