Children may be playing in mud, climbing trees, bug hunting, crafting with natural resources, fire lighting, pond dipping. They can learn to safely use tools, bush craft, ropes and swings, forest school games, songs, storytelling, den building, sensory activities, foraging/cooking and eating and much more. Sessions are always child-led. We will plan to make sure children have the resources they need to expand their play. We'll follow their lead to support their play, learning, and development. Children will not be forced to take part in any activity. They may not come out from a session with something ‘amazing’ they have made like another child. Don’t worry, their forest school experience is theirs to do with whatever they want and feel like doing. They will get as much out of it as another child with a beautifully weaved willow circle or whittled stick, we promise. We have a toilet (think camping) and ‘tippy taps’ set up in the woods. Children will be offered a cold lunch, snacks and drinks and will occasionally cook on the fire and make warm drinks. They just need to bring water bottle and spare clothes. The private woods we use for holiday club are far from any public roads. However we practice safety procedures such as a ‘call back’ sound (made by a leader) to call the children back to the circle. There are unmissable boundary flags to mark the smaller perimeters in which they can explore. Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process. It offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term programme that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.

We've dedicated a decade to creating a unique environment for children with SEN. At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to providing a nurturing environment during the holidays. Our goal is to infuse their days with structure, safety, and a whole lot of excitement! Imagine a place where your child not only feels secure but also embarks on a journey of self-discovery through engaging activities. From arts and crafts to sports, we've crafted an experience that goes beyond traditional child care. Our holiday clubs cater to children aged 8-16 with EHCP's, ensuring that every child receives the attention they deserve. In a world where holiday breaks often mean a break from structure, we step in to bridge the gap. Many children miss out on the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical exercise during the holidays, and that's where we shine. Our planned schedule aims to offer a diverse range of crafts and sports, enhancing fine and gross motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social interactions. The underlying principle? Fun! - from the moment they walk through our doors until they bid farewell. Our dedicated staff boasts years of experience working with children who have SEN, all equipped with a wealth of creativity to design sessions that inspire and captivate. We firmly believe in the power of learning through physical and creative activities for the overall well-being and future aspirations of every child.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out via email at inspireholidayclubs@gmail.com. Your child' adventure awaits.

Our Mega Activity camps provide awesome entertainment for children during the school holidays and are a great childcare option for parents too! Our Mega Activity camps include an energy zone and a chill out zone. Children can float between our areas under the supervision of our Camp Activity Leaders. We aim for our camps to be inclusive and to cater for a range of interests! We have a huge variety of activities available at our camps. Within the energy zone we have lots of popular sports options, as well as Laser Tag, Nerf, Ezy Go Karts, archery, axe-throwing and inflatable fun. While our chill out zone explores arts and crafts, jewellery making, board games, rock painting, Twister, Mario Kart, water rockets and more. Activities will differ each day and the activity leaders will cater for the needs of the group. Please note that inflatables will rotate between selected venues and will only be available in venues where we have safe space. We do not publish a daily or weekly schedule. Our activities cater for the needs of each group daily and our premium equipment rotates around our camp venues.

Sandy Hill is a Community Project Centre located on Twenty Pence Road, Cottenham. We offer a wide variety of outdoor activities to support positive mental health and wellbeing, giving transferable skills to young people within our community. The Centre is set in 16 acres of countryside. It has 8 ponies, 4 heavy horses and various small animals including chickens, ducks, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is also an orchard, sensory garden, and vegetable patch on site. Sandy Hill provides a haven for all ages to have a safe space, to recognise and achieve goals and to improve mental health and wellbeing. Sessions are delivered throughout the year. This summer our holiday programme is designed to enable young people with SEND to have fun and enriching experiences. Summer 2024 will see us host a small group session with a ratio of two young people to one experienced key worker, allowing us to tailor our sessions to the needs and abilities of our young people. Being out in nature and primarily outdoors is great for mental health and wellbeing. Our ratios ensure we can meet needs and build familiarity allowing young people to get most of the time with their peers. The activities are focused around engaging with the animals and nature, off the beaten track and surrounded by blue skies, trees and tranquility. Arriving at the centre you are greeted with passion, enthusiasm, fun, warmth, and knowledge within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Although we are an all weather centre, most of our sessions are held outside.

The University of Cambridge Holiday Playscheme provides childcare and play provision for children in Reception Class to 15 years old. This is during the February, Easter, May, Summer and October school holidays. We believe in child-led free play. We encourage children to build on their imaginations. We also run planned activities each day, to engage children with a variety of interests. We believe all children should have access to the same play. We offer a huge range of opportunities such as arts and crafts, sports, rollerblading, construction, den building, woodwork, role play, fancy dress, cooking, reading, messy play, water play, party games and more. During the long holidays we hold specialised workshops, for example in skateboarding, science and cookery.
