Safeguarding, Prevent and online safety
Cambridgeshire Skills is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where all learners are respected and valued. We will be alert to the signs of abuse and neglect. We have a duty to follow up on any concerns on learners’ safety or welfare.
The purpose of our safeguarding and prevent policy and procedure is to ensure that every learner who is undertaking a course with Cambridgeshire Skills is safe and protected from harm. Cambridgeshire Skills aims to:
- provide a safe environment for children and adults at risk to learn
- identify children and adults at risk, who are suffering, or likely to suffer, significant harm
- Take appropriate action to see that such children and adults at risk are kept safe in delivery venues
- Prevent people from sharing extremist views and recruit into terrorism
- Promote the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.
We have produced a number of resources to help raise awareness of these subjects for learners enrolled on our courses which are also shared below.
Learners can also find more details in our Learners Handbook. Find out more on our Learner information page.
