Delivery Partners
We contract with a number of organisations who deliver courses on our behalf all over Cambridgeshire.
Cambridgeshire Skills is committed to growing and diversifying the range of courses it delivers to widen participation, target, and support the most vulnerable, engage in new and emerging markets and meet the regional and local economic development agenda. To maximise the opportunities made available to its learners, the Service engages with selected subcontractors (known as Delivery Partners) to help broaden its provision offer. Additionally, subcontracting arrangements have been established to:
- Help achieve one or more of the seven aims in the CCC Strategic Framework.
- Deliver provision required for specific initiatives or projects that Cambridgeshire Skills is unable to provide directly
- Increase capacity in Cambridgeshire’s post 16 education provision.
- Respond to specific identified local needs
- Engage with individuals and/or groups who farthest from education and training
- Enhance the opportunities available for learners
- Fill gaps in niche or expert provision and provide better access to local training facilities
- Support better geographical access for learners
- Offer an entry point for disadvantaged groups
- Give consideration of the impact on individuals with shared protected characteristics, where there might otherwise be gaps
- Increase provision that supports individuals and communities that experience higher levels of unemployment/poverty to find work and/or better paid work.
- Support Community and Voluntary organisations to develop their capacity and capability to meet the needs of learners.
A core principle of subcontracting is that all learners in subcontracted provision are the learners of Cambridgeshire Skills, and we are responsible for all the actions of our Delivery Partners connected to, or arising out of, the delivery of the services which we subcontract.
All subcontracting carried out by Cambridgeshire Skills meets the required rules detailed here: Subcontracting funding rules for post-16 education and training - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and the procurement rules of the Council.
Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to ensuring we remain compliant with the published Subcontracting Standard ESFA subcontracting standard - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
