Adult safeguarding guidance and training

We have a webpage for the general public on What is safeguarding, abuse and neglect?

Safeguarding guidance and procedures

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Multi Agency Safeguarding Guidance and Procedures helps all agencies to safeguard people with care and support needs and to minimise the risk of harm and/or neglect.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Adults Board have information on stages of safeguarding, advocacy, protocol for people who self-neglect and protocol for people who display hoarding behaviours.

Practice guidance for voluntary and community organisations

It is crucial to ensure that all voluntary and community groups that provide services and activities for adults at risk in Cambridgeshire have the appropriate level of adult safeguarding policy, guidance and procedures in place. For further policy and procedure guidance, please check the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Adults Board guidance.

Learning and development (training)

People working with adults and older people across Cambridgeshire can access the Council's safeguarding training in line with local and national standards.
