Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adoption Service is joining Adoption England in September 2026 to launch a new campaign to recruit adopters. The campaign is called Every Day is Everything.
The campaign shares a simple but powerful message: every child deserves a permanent, loving family and every day spent waiting for that family matters.
Children in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who need adoptive families are spending an average of nine months of their childhood without a permanent family. For a young child, that is a significant proportion of their life. In early childhood, every day matters.
The campaign aims to reassure prospective adopters that children do not need perfect parents, perfect homes or perfect circumstances. What they need are people willing to provide love, stability and commitment through the everyday moments that make up family life.
It’s not about being perfect, it's about showing up and being there, day after day.
For families, including adoptive parents, everyday moments matter. The school runs, the mealtimes, the bedtime conversations. Whether big or small, silly, chaotic or difficult, these moments build over time and add up to everything. The campaign celebrates these ordinary moments that make up family life. They might seem small but can mean the world to a child.

Throughout September, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adoption Service will be supporting the national Every Day Is Everything campaign across social media channels. It will include information about adoption and the experiences of local adoptive families.
