The Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP) is about services working together to support children and families better. FFPP is a national programme which we are now working towards in Cambridgeshire.
Families First Partnership Programme (GOV.UK)
FFPP will change the focus of Children's Social Care towards supporting families earlier, involving you in decision making and keeping families together.
What will this look like for families?
FFPP is about:
- supporting families earlier, before more serious problems emerge, in order to keep more families together
- better information sharing among services so you only need to tell your story once
- more use of family networks, family group decision-making to allow families voices to be heard earlier on
- parent and family network involvement in child protection processes
- targeted funding to allow more children to live safely at home, or to support kinship care
What happens next?
Over the next few months we will be working with children, young people, families, our workforce and partners to understand how we can better support you. You can contact us about the programme, or provide feedback by emailing CCCFamiliesFirstPartnershipProgramme@cccandpcc.onmicrosoft.com.
You can also speak to your keyworker.
