The mobile library replacement service for Cherry Hinton scheduled for Monday 29 April in the car park of the Robin Hood Public House, will be on Tuesday 30 April for this week only. This is due to the availability of vehicles and drivers.

The C4 mobile route in May will be on Thursday 9 May due to being used as a polling station on Thursday 2 May. Regular customers have been informed where possible. This affects Harlton, Haslingfield, Harston and Hauxton.

What are mobile libraries?

Mobile libraries help more people to use Cambridgeshire Libraries' services. Mobile libraries can be a lifeline for people who can't get to a static library.

Each vehicle carries up to 3,000 items of stock. This includes fiction, non fiction, large print, books on CD and cassette, and children's books.

It’s a great place for catching up with friends and colleagues whilst supporting a local community resource.

Our three mobile libraries make over 400 stops at around 100 villages and communities each month. We visit most locations once a month, on the same time and day of the week each month.

Who can use Cambridgeshire Libraries?

Anyone who lives or works in Cambridgeshire can use a mobile library. Some customers use mobile libraries because they find it hard to travel to a static library. Others use mobile libraries to return books they have borrowed from elsewhere.

All vehicles have a lift for wheelchair users or those who find stairs difficult.

Please do come and visit us and support the service!
