St Ives library will be closed for essential maintenance work on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th October.

Cambridgeshire Libraries are open in line with Government advice. Please help us keep our customers, volunteers and staff safe, fit and healthy.

  • We encourage you to wear a face covering, if you can.
  • Please continue to be kind and respect other people’s space.
  • Hand sanitiser and Test & Trace will be available in all our libraries.
  • You can use PCs as normal, there is no need to book in advance. Cleaning products will be available to wipe down PC stations in-between use.
  • We will keep our buildings well ventilated and continue to manage the number of people in our libraries.

Library events have restarted.

You can still use:

Before you visit a library

We have a wide range of eBooks, eAudio books, eComics and eMagazines which you can access without visiting a library.

You can also see what you have on loan, renew items, and search the catalogue in your online account. You can reserve specific titles through the library catalogue. You can also call us to make a reservation on 0345 045 5225.

Free 'Select and Collect' service

This service allows you to request a selection of books based on your preferences.

  • You can use the online form below, or call us on 0345 045 5225
  • You will need to be a member of Cambridgeshire Libraries - you can join online.
  • You can pick the books up from any of the libraries which have reopened - tell us your preference
  • Specify how many books you would like to borrow, your favourite genres, and whether you want large print or spoken word editions. You can enter information for up to four children, and four adults.
  • We will use this information to choose a selection from the books available at your chosen library.
  • We will notify you when this has been done and you can come and pick the books up from the library (See visiting a library and Managed browsing).
