Sawston's new library is now open at its new location in Sawston Community Hub.

Histon Library has closed for refurbishment, the provisional offer will be confirmed in September before a new library opens in 2021.

  • Our mobile libraries will return to the roads of Cambridgeshire on 21st of September. We will be returning to our regular stops, but unfortunately access to the vehicle is limited to help keep staff safe. We will be providing books selected in advance. Find out more about mobile libraries.
  • Meeting rooms, library events and activities will not resume yet. These services will start again when it is safe to do so.
  • There will be no overdue charges for books borrowed in July, August and September.

Before you visit

We have a wide range of eBooks, eAudio books, eComics and eMagazines which you can access without visiting a library.

If you do want to visit, please check interim opening days and times first (below).

  • Specify how many books you would like to borrow, your favourite genres, and whether you want large print or spoken word editions. You can enter information for up to four children, and four adults.
