Libraries overdue charges
Overdue charges are currently suspended.
If charges exceed £10 for adults or £5 for children the library card will be suspended until the balance is reduced below these limits. You can pay online by logging into your library account, or make contact with your library to arrange payment in the branch by emailing Your.Library@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
If your local library does not have the item you would like to borrow and it is in stock at one of our other libraries, use the library catalogue to place a reservation to have the item delivered to the library of your choice.
For all adult stock there is a charge of 50p per item for this service. This helps cover the cost of transporting the item to the selected library.
Reservations for junior books and junior spoken word remain free.
If you are a Library at Home customer there are no reservation fees.
Any items requested from other authorities' libraries (inter-library loan) will be charged at £8.50 each. Please note that this charge still applies for uncollected items. If an item is to be obtained from the British Library, the charge will be £18.00, but requestors will be contacted for confirmation to proceed with the request. Please note that this charge still applies for uncollected items.
Reading group charges will be £35.00 per group per annum.
