Cambridgeshire Libraries offer Wellbeing Pods. These are private, confidential and safe spaces that can be booked with the primary purpose of supporting mental health and wellbeing.
Each pod seats up to two people. They are small, private rooms, which can be booked out for free.
Your booking also includes the use of a laptop, with headset and webcam.
The Wellbeing Pods can be used for in‑person meetings with a support worker or healthcare professional. They can also be used for online appointments using our free Wi‑Fi.
The Wellbeing Pods may be particularly useful if you do not have reliable internet access or have limited privacy. For example if you live in a shared or busy household.

Having Wellbeing Pods in libraries helps us to signpost you to a wider range of other local services and activities, including community events and wellbeing offers.
The pods are currently available at the following libraries:
- Bar Hill Library
- Cambridge Central Library (two pods)
- Ely Library
- Huntingdon Library
- St Ives Library
- St Neots Library
- Whittlesey Library
- Wisbech Library
Pods can be booked by individuals or as part of an appointment arranged with a relevant professional. This may include those from primary and secondary mental health services including health and social care professionals, community or charity organisations.
All bookings are made by contacting the relevant library through the online enquiry form below.
Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance, for any length of time.
We can also offer 'walk-in' slots without an advance booking if the Wellbeing Pods are available.
The pods were funded by the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) and delivered by Cambridgeshire Libraries.
