What is Read a Little Aloud?

These are monthly themed social events taking place in library locations across Cambridgeshire.

You can come along, enjoy a cup of tea, and listen to our volunteers reading aloud. There is opportunity to discuss pieces being read, just sit back relax and listen and even bring pieces to read aloud yourself.

These are drop-in events which you can join as you wish to at your chosen library location.

“To sit back and just take time out to listen to what was being read and separate yourself from everything else. I came away feeling very relaxed and refreshed.”

- Read a Little Aloud attendee

“Reading aloud has always given me great joy and to give other people a little bit of pleasure and escapism deepens that feeling.”
