The Emergency Active Travel (Tranche 2) programme includes funding for new cycle parking round the county. Works began at the beginning of May to install more than 150 black or galvanised Sheffield cycle stands.
The cycle parking locations have been agreed with local councillors and were chosen for their convenience to amenities, such as shops, cafes, play areas, recreation grounds, leisure centres, village halls, nurseries and bus stops.
The cycle stands will be installed in Ely, Huntingdon, Ramsey, St Ives, St Neots, Whittlesey and Wisbech and 9 villages (Buckden, Cottenham, Haddenham, Little Thetford, Littleport, Melbourn, Mepal, Stretham and Sutton).
