We are consulting on proposed revisions to the Local Validation Requirements.
We are required to review our requirements at least every two years. We last reviewed our requirements in 2023.
Once approved, the new rules will apply to planning applications for Cambridgeshire County Council’s projects and waste development and will explain what information needs to be included with these applications.
The proposed changes
We have carried out a review and propose some revisions and propose to make minor revisions to update references to legislation and Local Plan policies that have changed or been updated.
We have contacted recent applicants, agents, statutory consultees, and parish councils to consult them on the draft document.
How to comment
The consultation period is for six weeks from 27 January 2025 until 10 March 2025.
Please send your comments in writing by email to planningdc@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or by post to:

What will happen next
We will review all comments sent to us by 10 March 2025 and share the results of the consultation and suggested changes to the documents with the Planning Committee. A report will be posted on our website five days before the Planning Committee meeting where the changes will be discussed.
