We are consulting on proposed revisions to the Local Validation Requirements.
We are required to review our requirements at least every two years. We last reviewed our requirements in 2021.
When approved, our revised requirements will apply to planning applications for Cambridgeshire County Council’s own development and for waste development. They will set out the information which is to be required in support of planning applications for the County Council’s own development and for waste development.
The proposed changes
We have carried out a review and propose some revisions and propose to make minor revisions to update references to legislation and Local Plan policies that have changed or been updated.
We have contacted recent applicants, agents, statutory consultees, and parish councils to consult them on the draft document.
How to comment
The consultation period is for six weeks from 2 February 2023 until 16 March 2023.

What will happen next
We will consider all comments received by 16 March 2023 and report the result of the consultation and the suggested changes to Planning Committee. A report to the Planning Committee will be published on our website five working days before the Planning Committee meeting to which the revised changes will be reported.
