Most pupils with SEND go to their local mainstream school. Some children and young people may need additional support to access their local school. Schools and colleges in Cambridgeshire should work with parents so that pupils can access learning alongside children of the same age.

Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) is the inclusive teaching, adjustments, and support that all mainstream schools, nurseries, and colleges are expected to provide for children and young people. This includes those with mild or emerging special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Education, Health and Care plans (EHCP)
Mainstream early years settings, schools and colleges can meet the needs of most children and young people with SEND.
