We understand that winter can be a difficult time. Cold weather, rising costs, and health issues can add extra pressure. This is especially true for older people, families, low-income households, and those with long-term conditions.
The Be Winter Wise campaign is here to help this winter. It shares practical advice and highlights local support. It also encourages communities to come together so everyone feels safer, warmer, and healthier. The campaign will:
- Raise awareness of how winter weather, financial pressures, and health challenges can be connected.
- Provide support by pointing you towards useful services and sharing advice tailored to different needs.
- Encourage community spirit, helping neighbours look out for one another and build resilience together.
This year, Be Winter Wise will run alongside our Working For You campaign. Working for You highlights the services, outcomes, and people making a difference across Cambridgeshire. Together, these two campaigns will highlight how we’re supporting residents. They’ll also share how communities can access help and take simple, practical steps to stay well this winter.
This work is also part of our commitment to creating a greener, fairer, and more caring Cambridgeshire. Simple steps, like saving energy at home, can help lower bills and reduce environmental impact. When support reaches those who need it most, communities grow stronger. People feel supported and cared for.
Together, we can make this winter a little easier for all.
